  Dr. Adams is an amazingly compassionate veterinarian. He has a staff that is also quite amazing. It is with a heavy heart that I say all of this as today they had to euthanize my friend. Although Dr. Adams was booked for surgery he and his staff took time out of their busy schedule to take care of my sick dog. I will forever be grateful for the caring, compassionate people that they are.

  Penelope, my (almost) 8 year old maltese, is the first dog I have ever had. I have had her since she was just under 6 weeks old, and many times she has been the only "person" I had during some of the hardest times of my life. I would be lying to say that I would not go absolutely crazy if something were to ever happen to her. Fast forward to a couple months ago...I moved across the country with just whatever would fit in my car and both of my dogs. When we got here, I scheduled an appointment at Poulsbo Animal Clinic for both pups. Hank was ok, but Penelope had severe periodontal diseases and needed surgery asap. I was an emotional wreck with way too many questions, but the DOGters answered all of my questions with patience and understanding. Dr, Amy McGee was the one assigned to us, and she was beyond wonderful. I have zero interest in allowing my pets to see anyone else in the area, because she was THAT great. We decided to proceed with the surgery, and again Amy and her staff made sure all of my questions and concerns were put to rest. After the surgery Dr McGee came out front and thoroughly explained everything that she did in ways I could understand. She let me cry (my sweet Penelope had to get all but two teeth pulled.) She let me ask a million more questions. And she loved on my pups. I was worried that after the surgery Penelope wouldn't be the same. That was exactly true. She was a million times better! It breaks my heart knowing how much pain she was in, but now she is like her puppy self. She runs around like someone turned her turbo on, always wants to play, and actually plays with her toys for the first time in years! I couldn't be happier with the results of her surgery. Everyone here from the receptionist to the vets really gave off the impression that they loved what they did. I would recommend them to absolutely anyone.
